Southern rockers KINGS OF LEON are considering a spell in rehab when they finish
their tour dates with U2 because they're partying too hard with the Irishmen. The
group members, who are all former hardcore Christians, admit after-show and pre-show get
togethers are hedonistic affairs - and they're struggling to keep up.
E! reports: A lawyer for the rapper confirmed Tuesday that he had reached an
undisclosed financial settlement with the iPod purveying-company for illicitly using his
lyrics to hawk the iTunes Music Store. MTV, which broadcast the commercial, and its parent
company, Viacom, were also named in the lawsuit and were party to the settlement.
Andre 3000 says kids' movies need to be edgier - and he plans to make it happen
through a new deal with Nickelodeon and MTV. "I've noticed that kids, they're looking
up to the Jay-Zs, they're looking up to OutKasts," the rapper (and father of a
7-year-old boy with singer Erykah Badu) told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "So
kids' movies and cartoons, they're getting smarter ... because it seems like kids are
cooler." As part of the deal, Andre, one-half of the multiplatinum duo OutKast, is
set to star in a new Nick Movies film, "The Hit," which he will also co-produce.
Internet powerhouse Yahoo Inc. is introducing an online music subscription service
that will enable consumers to download thousands of songs onto their portable MP3 players
for $60 annually, undercutting the prices of the current industry leaders by more than 60
percent.
Nine Inch Nails have been confirmed to perform their latest single "The Hand
That Feeds" at this years "2005 MTV Movie Awards", which will be taped on
June 04th and air on June 09th.
Launch Radio Networks reports: According to Trent Reznor, it won't be another six
years before another NINE INCH NAILS album surfaces. In a forum on the band's official web
site where Reznor and other members answer fan questions, a person named Lindsay asked,
"You've talked about another album being released relatively soon. Can you tell us
anything about it? Will it be a 'sister' album to 'With Teeth'...? Will it sound similar
to 'With Teeth'?" Reznor replied, "I'm working on it right now - I think it's
about to shift in direction. We'll see. Stay tuned."
3 Doors Down announce dates for their 2005 Summer Tour. Starting in Europe on June
2nd, the 12x platinum selling band comes back to the US June 30th to start a 40 city North
American tour that will run through mid September 2005. Featuring Staind and Breaking
Benjamin, the Summer Tour will have the band performing in sheds, amphitheatres, arenas,
fairs and festivals throughout the US and Canada including the Tweeter Waterfront Centre
in Camden, NJ; DTE Energy Center in Clarkston, MI, and the New York State Fair in
Syracuse, NY.
MTV reports: The son of former Roxy Music singer Bryan Ferry, 22-year-old
Otis Ferry, was arrested on Friday for lunging at British Prime Minster Tony Blair,
according to an Associated Press report. The younger Ferry, a vocal advocate of foxhunting
- a practice that was banned earlier this year after a lengthy debate - reportedly
approached the just-re-elected Blair outside a gallery and shouted, "I've had enough
of this government!"
The 10,000 Lakes Festival is proud to announce the complete list of performers for
its third annual event, scheduled for July 21-24 at the scenic Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit
Lakes, Minnesota. In addition to two nights of festival headliners Widespread Panic
and former Phish guitarist/front man Trey Anastasio, the event features two dozen

A man accused of punching hip hop titan Dr Dre at an Awards show last November is
to stand trial on an assault charge.
Sufficient evidence had been found against Jimmy James Johnson, Judge James Dabney, has
ruled. In a brawl that followed the allegedly assault, Johnson suffered a collapsed lung,
the BBC reports.
